OW: Open Wound, your chance for the attack to deal damage over time (bleed).FCR: Faster Casting Rate, your improved spell casting speed.EWD: Enhanced Weapon Damage, multiplies your weapon damage. ![]() IAS: Increase Attack Speed, your attack speed multiplier.FPA: Frames Per Attack, your attack speed.Crushing blow: reduces life by 1/4, does not work on bosses from Median XL but from Diablo 2.Spell focus is therefore only useful for spells.īe careful, some Spells are indicated "attack" but work as a spell, as is the case for the Blood Thorn or the Paladin's Lemure for example. In order not to get confused, I recommend that you don't call anything weapon-related "spell", so you don't take any spell modifiers, and vice versa. effects that are added to your weapon do not affect spells based on your energy, for example Snake Stance which adds poison damage to the weapon does not add damage to your spell.% spells damage,% physical spell damage,% magical spell damage,% lightning cold fire poison spell damage do not affect spells based on your weapon. It is crucial to differentiate these types of spells because the modifiers will be different: Woot.First information but essential to understanding the game, you have two types of spells: It seems possible (likely?) that Xbow necro could be tier 1 again. The 3 buffed sorc builds (but poison looks a safe bet for tier 1 in late game).ĮDIT: Credit Tyndall - the Dragonfire Oil synergy is big. Probably start with the java as the new build.īowzon for farming especially if java doesn't work out. Next season? For me, I'll try the following: Simple reduction in damage, gonna be worse. Is it enough to restore this to Tier 1? Maybe, especially in late game.Ĭold. Added a new damage mechanic, can't be bad. Wasn't great last season, looks better now for small change but 25% buff is quite a lot.įire. Was v good last season so should be tier 1 now. Was good but not Tier 1 last season so should be better now. Overall reduced health and movement from passives. Interesting DK option to use them as summonable bombs. As Tyndall pointed out, Dragonfire Oil synergy will be enormous. Reduced pierce on Jinn = not so good, but at least now they are usable with xbow for pierce. Buffed? Widowmaker damage should be easier to scale as fire. QoL on movement/tele mechanics from BtS also means safer to play. Innate lvl 1 teleport - very nice! Also reward skills rework. Overall, the change to BtS will benefit a lot of non-summoner builds. Neutral? Buffed damage, slightly less life per level. Hard to say if IAS fix will be offset by worse fpa limits.īear. Only changes to shapeshifters and vit per point. It was always a top farming build so hopefully it is again. Buffed? The new passive is an unknown though. more speed, less damage? Didn't play it enough to know if the nerfed damage is significant. Loss of elemental weapons and lower life.Įlemental - Not sure. Buffed? QoL improved? Too early to say.Įarthshaker - Nerfed. This was a good build last season, under-rated, removing speed buff from Beacon may make this worse.Ĭlaw. Small buff to Shuriken Flurry and to life. Overall: change to Beacon will affect a few builds that don't benefit from the reward skills other than the speed buff Beacon had. Does it make any of them good? Dunno that it's enough. There may be 2 variants, melee and throw? I'm no expert, others may disagree with my take (happy to hear feedback, especially on the builds I'm not sure about), but to me it looks like the overall changes are:īow - Buffed. I wrote out a summary of buffs and nerfs to help me decide what to play - I thought I may as well post it here in case it's of any help/interest to anyone.
